About Us
The Bates Figure Skating Club provides students the opportunity to skate recreationally and competitively as desired. Figure skaters of all levels and interests are welcome. With club ice time we will teach skating skills and offer time to prepare for an upcoming competition or show. Additionally, members of the club can use daily open skate to practice individually. Our club aims to encourage any member of the Bates community to try figure skating whether that be for recreational, athletic, or social purposes. The Bates Figure Skating Club will compete in the USFSA Intercollegiate Figure Skating Program, represented by a competitive team within the larger club.
