About Us
The Chemical Society's mission is to provide opportunities for the Bates and Lewiston-Auburn communities to engage in chemical activities like simple experiments and chemical teaching sessions. We aim to motivate a sense of wonder and curiosity, as well as a sense of belonging for everyone, when observing a reaction taking place. We will learn together and educate each other on topics spanning modern techniques and older techniques in chemistry. Participation in the Club and its activities is open to everyone regardless of their level of chemical, physical, or mathematical knowledge.
