Details
Per Alltrails: “Hikers will encounter a number of stream crossings on their way to the summit of Caribou Mountain. From the summit, there are 360-degree views of the Caribou-Speckled Wilderness and Androscoggin River valley.” Now doesn't that just sound GLORIOUS?!
BRING:
Comfortable walking shoes, snacks and LUNCH (think apples, bagels, bags of pasta whatever floats your boat) and at least 2 full water bottles (2+ liters of water ideal). Also even though we’re going into spring, it's better to be safe than sorry and this weekend is looking like it could be wet so please wear layers (wind/water/weather proof, etc) and bring extra warm and waterproof clothes (we can always leave gear in the van) - and because you never know, feel free to bring a sun hat and sunscreen as well!
WEATHER WARNING: It's looking like snow / ice / rain / wet wet so please make sure you do have all those extra layers (mittens, gloves, extra shoes and socks for your wet feet after the hike, etc) and be mentally/physically prepared to hike in the rain.
We will provide microspikes but if you have your own please feel free to bring them (also not sure if we will need them but better safe than sorry!)
Advertised Classifications:
Backcountry, Evacuation Access Level: 3 out of 4, Activity Level: High
