Mission
Bates Democrats are concerned students and citizens who tend to vote for Democrats, and are politically active and aware. With a large focus on local politics, we sponsor speakers, work on campaigns, host forums, meet with politicians, and engage in discussions on hot political topics. Bates Democrats has a close working relationship with the Maine Democratic Party and acts as the official Bates College chapter of the Maine College Democrats- a College Democrats of America affiliate.
