About Us

The overall purpose of Helicase, the Student Biology Club, is to provide support, unity, and inspiration for the exploration of biology both inside and outside of the formal curriculum. We will organize activities and events directly relevant to the study of biology to stimulate interest in biology among the majors and the campus community at large through sponsored lectures, field trips, and lab explorations. Through our meetings and activities we will cultivate an environment of curiosity, support, and excitement surrounding biology, a subject that can often be intimidating.
