About Us

The purpose of this club is for students to learn how to make Jewelry and meet new people. This club enriches the Bates and Lewiston-Auburn Communities by bringing together students from diverse backgrounds and identities who might encourage each to create art through the tactile medium of jewelry. This club provides a creative outlet, with reduced barriers, which supports student wellbeing across multiple dimensions. This club is committed eliminating barriers to participation, in order to create a truly inclusive environment. This club relates to and furthers the Bates College mission and the Campus Life mission by being open to all Bates students, no matter skill level or background. This club is an opportunity to become involved in the student experience while also taking part in equity and inclusion work. This club equally encourages creation and social participation; members are not required to make jewelry to attend, though they are encouraged to.
